Singing by the Sea

31 August 2022

There were 188 seats in the hall and all seats were sold and sat upon. This meant the event provided a substantial donation of $2700 to the Salvation Army.
For us in the Rugby Choir it was a special pleasure to be back in a large group of singers – around 50 – and close enough together to hear each other well. Our musical director Matthew Stuckings engaged happily with the audience as well as the singers, and our accompanist Karen Da Silva on short notice took the place of the U3A Singers' accompanist who was unwell, as well as doing her usual fine job for us.
The organisers had a video clip made, and the link to it is www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQITeq6qjZI&feature=youtu.be.
They also arranged a photographer, nearly 140 of whose photos are available on the Dropbox website at www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/6imdo6svyg26ulgku59bq/h?dl=0&rlkey=xijeup1ism0ad21np3583xu2h. A selection from them is here on the choir's website.
