DOORKEEPERS

In a couple of week's time, Darryl Cupitt will be going away until the end of August and Phil Gallagher will be away until the Winter Break. So we need two members to assume the roles of subs collectors, roll markers and gig sheet monitors for each of these periods. Please contact me or Darryl or Phil if you can help out in this way.

ANCA MAGAZINE SING OUT

There is an article on us in its latest publication. It is on the gig sheet table for your perusal.

MAY CHOIR TRAINING & COMMITMENTS

Saturday 14 – Brumbies v Lions (5.30PM)

Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 Wollongong Gig (See the below)

Saturday 28 – Brumbies v Stormers (5.30PM)

WOLLONGONG REGIONAL TOUR

PLEASE NOTE that if new members have the requisite uniform they may join us for these gigs and use their books standing in the rear rows. See Max Brennan if you are able to add your name to the list.
I'm sure that everyone appreciates this great effort by Max Brennan and others in organising this event. See last week's Warble for the detailed timings for this week-end.

Repertoire for Wollongong Weekend

Andrea has advised of the following repertoire for the weekend:
The following will be sung with the

Lamplighters:
Battle Hymn,
When the Saints,
Anthem, and
Stout Hearted Men

The ARC Songs will be:

Cantique de Jean Racine (will need most work)
Slave's Chorus
Take Me Home
Off to the Outback
Calon Lan
Rachie
South African Trilogy (Siyahamba, Tshotsholosa & Gabi Gabi)
Irish Blessing
Ave Verum
A Roving
Song of the Jolly Roger
Divine Brahma

ANNUAL FUNDRAISING CONCERT

Plans are proceeding. Gig sheets will on the table from next Tuesday to indicate your intention to participate in either or hopefully both concerts.

ANTARCTICA CONFERENCE GIG

Note that the date has been changed from 28th June to Saturday 25th June times and precise details still to be confirmed but probably in the evening.
Another two Sibelius song files by Andrea for this Antarctica gig have been distributed for the proposed songs. Continue to practice from these please.
This gig was always promoted as one where we would use books and sing in unison so please familiarise yourselves with the single melody for each of the six songs and make up one small folder with only the pages of words so efficiently prepared by Ian Johnson recently.
Thanks again Johnno.

ANNUAL RETREAT

Please ensure that you can attend this weekend traditional retreat. This year we expect to need practice not only for our Concert but also for the Police Memorial Service and the Heart Foundation Service.
As we expect to be provided very soon with the Oceania Confederation's repertoire choices for the 2012 London Concert, we are hopeful of including some of that in our concerts. Plenty of notice has been given via the forecast calendar so try to do your part to complete the arrangements and planning that are well underway.
Remember, try to attend both days but if you can attend only one day, that is fine also.

ABOUT ANDREA

I believe Andrea is in the throes of replacing a broken computer and retrieving lost files, therefore there has been little electronic communication possible with her recently which probably explains the absence of the May practice schedule etc.

MUSIC AND FOLDER INDEXES

Membership of the Australian Rugby Choir is subject to the following Electronic Learning Material – Member Acceptance Agreement which includes all Sibelius files distributed to you.
In accepting this Electronic Learning Material I acknowledge and agree that these remain the property of the Australian Rugby Choir. I will not copy any of such Electronic Learning Material, nor will I give it to unauthorised persons; and I will delete all Electronic Learning Material from all of my personal computing devices when I leave the Australian Rugby Choir.

BLAZER SUB-COMMITTEE

Your committee will be meeting on Tuesday 24th May for a special meeting to consider progress, information, recommendations and samples of the Blazer sub-committee.

Remember

All these files and this Warble are available on the website.
