The Lamplighters have been finalising the booking at the Illawarra Leagues Club for the 21/22 May visit by ARC. The Auditorium is on the upper level and is accessed by stairs or lift.

The following programmed has been proposed by the Lamplighters for our Wollongong visit:

Saturday Program

5pm Lamplighters move in some risers and a piano so the Auditorium will be open for people to arrive

5.30pm –6pm Run through of joint numbers by Choirs

6pm Bar in Auditorium opens!

7pm Welcome & being seated at large round tables

7.15pm Buffet Meal starts – $25/head

8.30pm (ish) Light entertainment starts – there will be a female soloist and a couple of light hearted items.

Perhaps the ARC can add some 'Rugby' or other offerings.

Sunday Program

Morning Free Time - How do we want to spend it? Lamplighters are offering an accompanied walk around the beach, Harbour and City if we would like that.

Lunch Lamplighters can organise a light (or heavier lunch) at the Leagues Club about 12 noon, or we can do our own thing.

Concert

1pm Auditorium Doors open

2pm 1st Half – Suggested by Lamplighters MD: Lamplighters followed by ARC, with a female soloist in between – approx. 50 min total

2:50-3:10 Interval

3:10-4:00 2nd Half – ARC, followed by Lamplighters and then joint numbers – again about 50 min

(Note – On Sunday drinks will need to be bought from the main club bars on the ground floor)

We need to let the Lamplighters know the following information:

Numbers eating on Saturday night

Number of choristers singing

Number of partners/supporters needing tickets for the concert – $15 tickets ($10 for partners)

Our decision on Lunch on Sunday

Our decision on a Sunday morning activity

There was a sheet at Choir Practice on Tuesday night for members going to Wollongong to complete to provide the information required. This sheet will be available next Tuesday night as well, the last Practice night before the information needs to be passed to the Lamplighters.

If there are members going to Wollongong who won't be at practice next week and haven't filled in the sheet, would you please let Max Brennan have your input by e-mail, or by telephone, 62886275. Detail required is:

Annual Fundraising Concert

I am still seeking expressions of interest from members to assist with the organisation of this year's concerts Thursday afternoon, 13th October and Saturday afternoon, 15th October. The Thursday concert designed for the Aged Care industry residents as well as the Saturday afternoon concert for the general public. Several committee members will be involved of course. Thanks to those members who have already come forward. Please contact me if you can help in some way.
By now everyone has had a time to consider your work and diary commitments and endeavour to be available for BOTH concerts that week to assist in our own fundraising.

ANTARCTICA CONFERENCE

Note that the date has been changed from 28th June to Saturday 25th June times and precise details still to be confirmed but probably in the evening.
Sibelius files have been distributed by Andrea, via Geoff Ford, for the proposed songs. Continue to practice from these please.

ANNUAL RETREAT

Your committee has tried to provide a significant lead time to enable you to plan your commitments accordingly. Our Retreat weekend has been booked once again at Goulburn Conservatorium for 17-18 September.

SIBELIUS MUSIC AND FOLDER INDEXES

Members should note that all converted Sibelius files remain the property of the Australian Rugby Choir and must not be transferred to third parties other than other financial members of the ARC.
Please attend to your music folders following the Repertoire Committee work in rationalising previous indexes. Revised indexes have been emailed and distributed to all members.
Remember to purchase your London Gig books as these are available from the desk when you pay you nightly subs or during the brew break.
Everyone should have got the lyrics "Birdie, Birdie" email distributed by Geoff. So please print the two sheets off and add to your music folder.

REMEMBER

All Warbles are available FROM the latest news menu on the website.
