We will now set about forming a sub-committee to manage member's ideas and concerns with regard to the planning of our involvement.
As the ARC has now officially sanctioned the venture, the ARC Committee will provide the auspices for sub-committee decisions and recommendations.
The Committee has decided that the sub-committee should consist of members from the Committee and from the floor. Max Brennan and I have been nominated as the Committee representatives.
At this stage it would be prudent to gather as many 'travellers' as possible to a meeting to elect a sub-committee. I would suggest that 3 to 5 members from the floor as well as Max and me would form the sub-committee.
That will be the first order of business.
The agenda over the following months will be to establish and manage an 'issues register' so that matters can be recorded and addressed in a businesslike and rational manner.
I am calling a meeting for Tuesday 28 September 2010 at the Services Club at 6:30 pm (prior to the practice session).
