ARC – ANZAC WEEK

26 April 2024

After finding out about Shilong's selection and departure to compete in the 2024 Conducting Competition in Oradea, Romania from 26 Apr to 2 May and being introduced to Martin Magill to continue to prepare us for our four ANZAC Day gigs at Bungendore.

In the middle of this ANZAC Day preparation, the choir received a call from Adrienne Francis from ABC Canberra inviting us into the Dickson radio studio on the 24th of April to record four songs. Neil Fleming, our alternate music director, agreed to direct us on the day with our accompanist Karen Da Silva happy to keep us in tune.

Some people heard a teaser on 666 on Wednesday afternoon of Neil and the choir singing Shelter.

On Anzac Day, Adrienne also spoke live to Scott in Bungendore before the 10 am radio news. After the news, between 10:05 am and 10:30 am, Adrienne played her pre-recorded studio interview with Neil and the four songs (that she edited and mixed after the recording).

Congratulations to all choir members for your hard work over this last week. Enjoy and share with all.
