ARC Lost Property

An ARC hat and blue book were left behind at the AWM gig last Friday.

Bob has lost his pocket diary and believes he may have left it on the gig table at rehearsal last night practice. If anyone picked it up could you give Bob a call on 6286 2511 or send him an email

ARC Public Relations

You may remember that the Community CPS Australia arranged for Channelvision media coverage of the annual concert. The email from Geoff advised all it was being broadcast locally 4 times per day for the past week on ACT TransTV and broadcast nationally on Foxtel/ Austar on Sunday 30th October, Monday 31st October, Tuesday 1st November, Wednesday 2nd November and Thursday 3rd November. It is also www.channelvision.com.au/shows/born-from-a-vision/?video=749

Also in your local Southside Chronicle, turn to the advertising section on page 36. You will see some very familiar faces helping to promote our next gig.

Friday 4th November Woden Alive

Already, over 20 tickets have been taken up by our members and their guests. Understand that tables are for 10 and we are trying to arrange some set seating so that we can be together.

A reminder that the no alcohol prior to performance rule, needs to observed. Dress for the concert is the usual chambray shirt and tie.

Andrea, who also hopes to get to the dinner, has asked that we be ready to warm-up NO LATER THAN 9pm, for our scheduled 9.20 performance on stage. Those not attending the dinner will need to be at the Club NO LATER than 9pm for a warm up etc in time to be on stage at 9.20.

The available times given to us for the evening are:

6.30 doors to Launceston Room (our practice venue) open
7.00 dinner starts
7.30 Credo performs
7.50 Mains served
8.30 Woden Valley Youth Choir performs
8.50 Dessert

We have been given assurances that there will be sufficient tables set aside for choir members and their guests. A photo of choir members taken outside the Tradies appeared in the Southside Chronicle this week.

Friday 10th & 11th November Australian War Memorial Gigs

We will need a similar effort next week please for the HMAS Hobart ceremony on Thursday 10th November. As of last night there were only 10 names on the gig sheet. It is a very busy and demanding week with doubling up the following day for Remembrance Day. (Do not forget blazers to be worn on this occasion). Times on our calendar web site are to be confirmed.

Friday 18th November Annual Recognition Dinner

Please try to attend as this is an important event in the Choir's calendar and one of the few occasions that the ARC can pay back in part for all the year's hard work. We need to give University House, final numbers a week before so we'll need your contributions at next week's practice (8 November), but if unable to attend practice but still want to come to the dinner, please let me know.

ARC Patron Award

Do not forget the Annual Patron Award. Nominations need be to Robert Macaulay by the close of business on the 15th November.

London Group

Special practice session for the London group is on Sunday 6th November at the Rainbow Room SCC, Woden. The second tenors at 3.30 to 4.45pm all the rest 4.15 to 5.30pm.
