Australian War Memorial Gig

Normal uniform, brown hats, blue spray jackets at the ready and blue folders for Friday 28th October, 1.30 for 2.00 pm ceremony for Apprentice Memorial.

Friday 4th November

The Tradies, as one of our major sponsors, is asking for our support in their sponsorship of the Woden Community Festival week. Everyone would have received the email via Geoff to distribute the poster.

Together with the ARC, Woden Valley Youth Choir and Credo will also be performing. The Canberra College Jazz Band will be the fourth participant.

Friday 18th November

Please add your name and wife or partner to the gig sheet for our annual recognition dinner. More details later of course but cost will be $40 per head.

Tuesday 6 December

Final Music at Midday Concert with Duntroon RMC Band is on Tuesday 6th December.

One Earth Choir

Alastair referred to potential performance of a 5 minute especially composed item on 21 Feb 2012 at 11.00 am GMT. This involves the linking of singers and cities around the globe. Members are encouraged to have a look at the site, www.inin2012.net and be prepared to express an opinion about our participation at practice on 25th October.

ARC Patron Award

The Patron Award will be presented again this year and Robert Macaulay will again act as Returning Officer for conducting the voting by members. Robert will be providing information about the award and procedures in the near future so please start considering who you believe is a worthy recipient this year.

Uniform Blazer

I hope that everyone enjoyed wearing their blazer today. If you have already done so, remember to attach your name or other means to identify your blazer to others.

Member Welfare

Ken McInnis is home resting and we know he will be champing to sing again.
