CHANGE OF PRACTICE VENUE & TIME

Well done chaps, we made the move to the new venue with only a few teething problems. We will continue to work through these. Including new members, the attendance of 50 last Tuesday night is very promising for the future. Remember that we have reverted to 7.15pm for 7.30pm start with a 9.45pm finish. Would I be correct in thinking that the overall reception of the change in venue/times has been favourable?

The Tradies has asked me to let you know that they have introduced a Pasta & Pizza night all you can eat for $16.00 on Tuesday evenings. Perhaps you would like to eat prior to practice.

Australian War Memorial

Many thanks to the 18 participants at the AWM yesterday for the Aged Care Anzac Day ceremony. Well done. Several heavyweights including Steve Gower and Carol Cartwright came to see us and thank us for our continued efforts.

Geoff Grey from RMC Band also spoke with us to assure us that our participation in the final Music@Midday would be sought once again.

Wollongong Regional Tour

Max Brennan has distributed information about the Wollongong regional visit with the Arcadian Lamplighters on the weekend of 21-22 May. You need to make your own contact with the hotel to take advantage of the group booking deal as well as making your own way to Wollongong.

Annual Fundraising Concert

Bookings have been made at the Hughes Baptist Church Hall for Thursday afternoon, 13th October and Saturday afternoon, 15th October for our Annual Fundraising Concerts. The Thursday afternoon will target the Aged Care market and the Saturday afternoon will target the normal market.

Please consider your work and diary commitments and endeavour to be available for BOTH concerts that week to assist in our own fundraising.

Antarctica Conference

Don't forget to check them please the new sib files from Andrea. These have been distributed by Geoff.

Now you can all get back to revising about Scottish Birds'. I think I have some way to go.

Annual Retreat

Your committee has tried to provide a significant lead time to enable you to plan your commitments accordingly. Our Retreat weekend has been booked once again at Goulburn Conservatorium for 17-18 September.

Choir Promotion

The hard copy versions of the flyers were available last Tuesday; however the former venue is printed. Timings of ordering, printing and our recent move did not quite coincide unfortunately. Try to remember to update latest venue details when you hand out a hard copy version.

From the London Gig 2012 Sub Committee

Please attend to your music folders following the Repertoire Committee work in rationalising previous indexes. Revised indexes have been emailed and distributed to all members.

Uniform

An error was listed in previous Warbles regarding the cost of the taupe trousers. The actual cost is currently $44.95 not $42.50 as previously advised.

Remember

All these files and this Warble are available on the website.
